We all know the basics - go to church, pray, read your Bible...but following Jesus is so much more than that. It's a complete lifestyle shift that requires full surrender and obedience to God's will. In Matthew 4:19, Jesus calls out to his disciples, "Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." He's not just asking for a little bit of our time and attention. He's asking for everything we've got - all our heart, mind, body, soul - all of it.

Following Jesus means focusing on Him FIRST. We can't just fit Him in when it's convenient. We need to make Him the centre of our lives, letting Him guide our steps every single day. Believe me, I know it's not easy. It's a daily struggle that requires constant effort and attention. But I can tell you from experience, it's totally worth it. When we rely on Him, we experience a life full of purpose, joy and peace that surpasses all understanding.

So, let's do it! Let's make a conscious choice to follow Jesus, to walk in obedience to His will, and to let His love and light shine through us to the people around us. When we follow Jesus, amazing things start to happen. We witness God transforming hearts and renewing minds. This Sabbath we have the privilege to witness God's amazing work in the lives of humans who have opened their hearts and made the conscious decision to follow Jesus.

As a community, we are called to support and encourage one another in our journey of faith and express our deep sense of joy and excitement when fellow believers give their lives to Jesus publicly. Therefore, I want to invite you to join us in celebrating these special moments in the lives of our brothers and sisters. Whether it's by attending the baptism service, sending a note of congratulations, or simply praying for those getting baptised, let's be intentional about supporting and encouraging one another in our journey of faith.
