Church family, this week we want to share a simple but profound truth: every time you affirm your trust in God, He strengthens your heart in ways you may not even see yet. Scripture reminds us again and again that trust is not a feeling—it is a choice, a posture, and a declaration of faith.
The psalmist writes, “We wait in hope for the Lord; He is our help and our shield… our hearts rejoice in Him because we trust in His holy name” (Psalm 33:20–21). Trust is not passive waiting; it is hopeful expectation rooted in God’s character. When fear rises, Psalm 56 teaches us to respond with courage: “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You… in God I trust and am not afraid.” Trust does not deny fear—it overrules it.
Jesus takes this even deeper in Matthew 6:20–21, reminding us that where we place our treasure, our heart will follow. When we invest our hope, our priorities, and our confidence in God’s Word and God’s kingdom, our hearts become anchored in what cannot be shaken.
Every time you choose trust—whether in uncertainty, in waiting, or in quiet faith—you are placing your heart where it is safest: in the hands of the One who is faithful, present, and good. May we continue to be a church that treasures Christ above all and trusts Him in all things.
